The International Jewish Music Festival 2008 was an unprecedented success!. The combination of a COMPETITION, WORKSHOPS and a cooperation with THE KLEZMATICS filled our new home, the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, with an inspired program with more than 50 musical performances. Six ensembles went home with seven prizes: 7000 euros in prize money plus a concert tour and various performance invitations. The atmosphere was positive and joyful - there was even a wedding proposal during one of the performances (she said ‘Yes” !)
